San Francisco Photography Class by Michael Soo Brings the Art of Photography into Focus

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) February 03, 2012

On, Sunday, January 29th, 150 beginning and amateur photographers gathered for a day-long photography workshop with award-winning San Francisco portrait photographer Michael Soo at The Lookout in Santa Clara. The fun and informative workshop, ?Photography Made Simple,? focused on utilizing composition to tell a story with photographs. Michael will teach another session on Saturday, February 4th. He will also teach an intermediate/advanced workshop on Sunday, February 26th. Registration is open at http://www.soophotography.com/workshop/, and space is limited.

?This class was one of the most engaged and excited groups we?ve ever had. Everyone was excited to try new things and asked great questions. The day just flew by!? said Michael.

Students learned how to maximize their digital or film cameras, and truly understand the foundation of using a camera. Participants learned how to pose large groups and individuals. Michael explained lighting technique and how to utilize light to create mood, and showed the class how to use windows and household items to shape light. The workshop finished with Photoshop tips and tricks to put the final touch on photographs.

On February 4th, Michael will hold another session of ?Photography Made Simple.? The introductory photography class is already sold out, but those interested in learning the art of photography are encouraged to join the mailing list to be the first to find out when the next session will be held.

The San Francisco photography teacher will also hold an intermediate/advanced photography workshop on February 29th. It is common knowledge that the best way to get the perfect photograph is to capture it with the shot, instead of trying to fix it up in Photoshop later. ?Garbage in, garbage out,? goes the saying.

?But how do you get beautiful shots on the fly? Come find out!? invites Michael. ?This class will teach techniques you can use to create standout photos, whether you?re photographing portraits, food, products, or anything else you can think of.?

The photography seminars run from 9 am to 3 pm at The Lookout, located at 605 Macara Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94085. Breakfast and lunch are included. Students should bring a camera (preferably an SLR) and a notebook or laptop.

?We are looking forward to meeting everyone who comes to these classes! Getting to teach these workshops is one of our favorite parts of the job, and we truly appreciate each and every person who decides to spend a day taking pictures and having fun with us,? declares Michael.

India Day Parade an event for PHD’s & Politicians? Open Letter to Editors of all Indian News Papers in USA
Gujarati News Paper

Dear Editor: I hope my views on the India Day Parade in NY & NJ will be published in your next issue for open discussions for the benefit of your readers. Although what I am trying to do is your job but it looks like collectively you all have let down the Indian community. No Indian religious, business and cultural organization including Temples and Gurudwaras post their accounts on line. There is no transparency and accountability in any of the Indian organization. But all our news papers & TV stations have praise for them may be for stealing from the community and not taking a stand when the community needs them.

With best regards,

India Day Parade an event for PHD’s & Politicians?

India Day Parade by FIA in NY & IBA in NJ has become a mindless affair for Democrats, few Republicans & Photo Hungry Desi’s (PHD’s) posing as Indian Leaders along with their friends who can not be paraded for any cause any where in the world.

The Democrats & Republicans are paraded because both have failed to ensure equal rights to Indians. Whether it is worst ever called racial slurs for Indian community in over 200 years US history or job discrimination to Indians or police brutality against Indians or racial profiling against Indians or brutal murder of Indians; NY/NJ Republicans and Democrats don’t care and has never ensured Justice to the community members.

Democrats & Republicans are supported by so called community leaders who them selves can not stand up against worst ever called racial slurs against the entire Indian community by a Police Union Indians are animals, cockroaches, illiterates & illegal go home, for human rights of less fortunate in the community, can not demand justice in the brutal murder of Dr Geetha Angara & Dr Divyendu Sinha and can not give any help to a 4 year old and 7 year old children in distress are paraded on the streets of New York and Edison like those who are paraded in famous annual Pushkar Mela in India. Both the Parades are in fact Free entertainment for locals & Indians without going to real Pushkar Mela at a huge cost and commitment of minimum 1 week time.

In both Parades FIA & IBA can spend millions but can not give Scholarships to deserving students from less fortunate families from the community. They can talk about Indian culture and heritage but can not give recognition or performing platform to US born Indian American children who can play the musical instruments of their ancestors, can perform Indian Classical Dances and can recite songs in classical music in various Indian languages. When FIA & IBA can not give recognition or platform to such US born cultural Ambassadors of Indian culture how one can expect they will ever give them any Scholarships for keeping the Indian Culture alive in America?

Most pathetic is dominance of Bollywood personalities & their totally out of tune & character local imitations with doubtful integrity, who are stealing from community organizations and selling its honor & dignity. Then there are meaningless & irrelevant floats; no where reflecting the rich culture and heritage of Maa Durga’s India or Lord Krishna’s India or Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s India or Jesus Christ’s India or Prophet Mohammad’s India or Mahatama Gandhi or Sardar Patel or Abdul Kalam or Ratan Tata or Azim Premji’s modern India. Neither these floats reflects contribution of Indian American’s like Dr Sam Pitroda, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Nora Jones, Prof Jagdish Bhagwati, Prof Sunil Khilnani, Indra Nooyi, Victor Menenzes, H P Rama, B U Patel, Umang Gupta, Vikram Pundit, Sucheta & Anil Kapuria, Vinod Khosla, Vinod Dham, Sonny Mehta etc. in the American society and economy.

People who understand public service and are capable of bringing good for the Indian & American community are side lined because they are not willing to bow to the dictates of PHD organizers.

I DON’T THINK ALL THE EDITORS & REPORTERS OF VARIOUS NEWS PAPER HAVE FORGOTTEN THESE PICTURES FROM INDIA DAY PARADE

Ambassador Hardeep Puri is not at all visible in this picture.

The India Day Parade was lead by Zionist Bloomberg & Good Jews (Gujarati Leaders) rather than by CG Dayal & Ambassador Puri.

CG Prabhu Dayal rather than taking this as an insult to him and his country India, participated in the Gala Dinner hosted by brain dead Guju leaders controlled FIA. (FEDRATION OF ISRAELI AHMEDABADI’S)and can always be seen in their company.

Liberty University Launches “Liberty Journal Radio”

Lynchburg, VA (PRWEB) October 13, 2011

Liberty University announced today that it has started a news radio program, ?Liberty Journal Radio,? a continuation of news coverage from the University magazine.

The 15-minute show, hosted by Mark Edwards, includes segments on significant speakers, singing groups, faculty members and students connected with the University.

The show, produced at Victory FM in Lynchburg, is available on the University-owned radio network, which includes more than 30 full-power stations and translators and covers most of Virginia and a large portion of eastern North Carolina.

Liberty Journal Radio is heard weekdays across the Victory Radio Network at 8:15 a.m. and 7:30 pm. The programs can also be heard live and are archived for download at http://www.victoryfm.net.

?I think this program greatly enhances the university?s ability to provide information on its Christ-based education,? Edwards said.

Victory FM is working in conjunction with the Liberty University News Office to produce content for the program.

The new project adds a sense of immediacy to Liberty?s news operation, which is intended to dispense pertinent information about significant events happening at the University.

While Liberty Journal magazine distributes more than 670,000 copies three times a year, the Liberty Journal Radio format provides an enhanced opportunity for listeners to get information in a more timely manner.

Content produced by the Liberty University News Office is also available in the News & Events section of the http://www.liberty.edu website and on social media websites at http://www.facebook.com/LibertyUniversity and http://www.twitter.com/libertyu and on Liberty?s mobile application, myLibertyU.

Recently, Victory FM filed news updates on the campus visits of Texas Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, both vying for the Republican presidential nomination.

?We were able to release stories about those events on the University website and on the radio network at the same time. It speaks to convergence of media and we are working toward the News Office being a hub for audio, video, and web content. Liberty Journal Radio is part of that content,? said Ron Brown, executive editor of the Liberty University News Office.

The News Office is designed to merge efforts of the University?s professional staff while providing ?real-life? job experience for aspiring journalists.

?I?ve already had two reports on the air, and it?s giving me more media experience to complement my TV internship and work on the student newspaper,? said Tola Adamson, a senior in Liberty?s School of Communication.
